An engineer who turned to photography.
I'm Tim Haring. I've been a photographer and videographer for more than ten years, and I trained as an industrial engineer before that. That training is probably why I notice light and detail the way I do on a shoot around Sneem and Kerry.

What do you photograph and film?
Five main areas: weddings, business and portrait photography, real estate, events and family sessions. Video comes as standard alongside photography for all of them.
Do you offer videography as well as photography?
Yes. I've worked as both a photographer and videographer for over ten years, and I film across every service, including in Killarney and Tralee.

About Tim Haring.
The engineering training came first, and it taught me to read a space and pay attention to light and detail. That has stayed with me behind the camera.
I've been shooting since 2015, everything from weddings and portraits to business and property work. For years I did it alongside a day job, managing a branch for a German security-technology company, which taught me plenty about organising things and dealing with clients. In 2024 I went full-time with the camera.
In 2025 my wife, our three kids and I moved to Ireland, something we'd wanted to do for a long time, and settled in Sneem on the Ring of Kerry. The light here is lovely, the people have been very good to us, and I'm glad to be photographing this part of the world.

I like getting to know the people I'm photographing. When someone's relaxed the pictures are better, and that's most of the job as far as I'm concerned.
The engineering background shows up in how I handle light and composition. It's the part of the work I probably think about most.

Who we are
Moments by Tim is the photography business of Tim Haring, a sole trader based at Bridgeview, South Square, Sneem, Co. Kerry, V93 XP64. Tim is the data controller for this website, and you can reach him at info@moments-by-tim.com.
What we collect
When you use the enquiry form we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give it) and anything you include in your message. If you go on to book a shoot, we keep the information we need to plan and deliver it. After a shoot, we may email you once to ask for a review.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, to plan and deliver your photography, and to keep the records we need to run the business. We rely on your consent when you get in touch, and on our legitimate interest in following up with clients about their experience.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your information. We use a few trusted services to run the site and the business: the enquiry form is delivered by FormSubmit, the map is shown using Google Maps, films are played through YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (which only loads when you press play), and review requests are sent through our own booking and review system. Each only receives what it needs to do its job.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and client information only as long as we need it for the purposes above and to meet our legal obligations, then delete it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. To do any of these, email info@moments-by-tim.com. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (dataprotection.ie).
